Icelandair Hotel Mývatn next door has an open restaurant and bar all year around. 

Gamli Bærinn is open every day during the summer:  

Kitchen open every day 12-20.30

Bar sat-thurs 12-21 and fri 12-23

If there is an original Icelandic Country Tavern, it is Gamli Bistro (The Old Farm) at Reykjahlíð. From early morning to late afternoon it is dominated by the atmosphere of a friendly café.

Gamli Bistro offers low priced meals, coffee and cakes, beer and sodas as well as other alcaholic beverages.
