Our farm has been owned by the same family for about 120 years, passed from one generation to another. From the beginning we had sheep and cows, few chicken, two horses and a dog. Today we practice mixed stock farming, consisting of approximately 120 sheep and about 40 cows and cattle.
Inside the stable for the cows we also built a small cafe. If you visit our Vogafjos-Café you can see the cows through windows.
It is also possible to taste the fresh, warm milk direct from the cows.
The cows are milked 2 times per day, at 7.30 in the morning and in the afternoon at 17.30.
You are welcome to ask us if you would like to see newborn lambs if you are visiting in May.
Vogafjós er í Vogum við Mývatn.
